According to a recent report from CNN, the number of available jobs in the United States is shrinking. From our perspective at ChemSource, we see no evidence of this as client demand for our services continues to be robust. An interesting note from the article reports that “employees aren’t finding those next opportunities to advance their careers and are instead sitting tight and prioritizing job security instead.” We certainly do see some evidence of this as talent pools for the roles we recruit remain shallow, and have been for some. It is hard to see if this is a phenomenon particular to our segments in the chemical industry or something more widely observed across all industrial segments.
